Dominic Strauss-Kahn Case
Domonic Strauss-Kahn has recently been a headliner in the news, after a hotel housekeeper accused him of rape. Mr. Strauss-Kahn was set to run as a candidate for the presidency for the socialist party in France. Strauss-Kahn was indicted by the New York District Attorney’s office this past May and has since been released as his accuser’s credibility began to crumble. In lieu of recent allegations another woman has come forward. Tristen Banon accused Dominic Strauss-Kahn of trying to rape her in 2003. Mr. David Koubbi, Ms. Banon’s attorney says a criminal complaint will be filed. These days truth seems to be our perception versus somebody else’s reality.
Back at the Negotiating Table
Congress met this past week to continue negotiations on decreasing the federal deficit. It seems the Republicans are holding fast to a no tax increase but both sides agree to make cuts to Medicare and Medicaid. An increase to the 14.3 trillion ceiling is also on the table for discussion, as the nation comes close to defaulting on its loans, an increase could delay a default. It seems as though congress is like a bad marriage with a lot of debt and opposing views on spending.

What Do You Trust In?
Some trust in and boast of chariots and some of horses, but we will trust in and boast of the name of the Lord our God. Psalm 20:7
When it comes to trust most of us take a logical approach. We trust in our jobs, family, and position. We work hard to obtain security in these things but we are reminded that these things fail. In today's shaky economy many have found that trusting in a job to bring security and provision may not be wise. Notice, I didn't say logical, because the type of trust I am speaking of requires you to put logic aside and trust in something that may not be tangible. The benefits of trusting in a God that never fails.
1. You will have help when you need it. Psalm 115:11
2. You will have protection.
3. You will be rescued from danger. Psalm 31:14
4. You will be rooted, grounded, and unshaken during turbulent times. Jeremiah 17:8
5. You will be enriched and blessed. Proverbs 28:25
I know some of us think it's a cliche to say, "I trust in the Lord," but when you look at the state of things in our society today isn't it foolish to trust in chariots and horses.
