More Than A Conqueror: I Ain't No Punk!
Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of Love, and a sound mind.
There are times in our lives when it seems that the enemy is throwing everything but the kitchen sink at us. In the midst of adversity we are reminded that we are not to walk in fear but power. The power I am talking about is a supernatural power that is only accesible through a relationship with God. When you feel as though you are at your breaking point, you are drowning with no life preserver in sight, remember the supernatural power and love of Christ can lift you above it all.
My daughter reminds me of this. She loves the cartoon adaptation of Hercules. When Hercules goes to the underworld to defeat the God of the Underworld she yells out, "SUPERHERO". This reminds me of my position in the kingdom, as an heir because I am his daughter. Hercules had went to the underworld to save Meg and the only way he could save her was by diving into the sea of dead souls. This meant that he would die. As he plunged into the water he began to loose his strength and youthfulness. But to everyone's surprise he jumps out of the water glowing. The God of the underworld says; "This can't be, unless he is a God." See Hercules was the son of Zeus and because of his birthright he was turned into a God at the moment he sacrificed everything for LOVE. As believers we hold the postion of power and authority. We are not to go through life feeling defeated, afraid, or doubtful. We are to carry an attitude of fearlessness, we are more than conquerors, we are the sons and daughters of the most high God.
We have confidence in knowing that as long as we walk in love and obedience we win; and when you know you are a winner it doesn't matter what the circumstances are you never give up.
So if you are feeling like you have been satan's personal punching bag, it's time to start punching back with the spirit of power and love.
